Effetto protettivo degli Omega3 nei confronti del tumore prostatico.
Numerosi studi hanno confermato un effetto fortemente protettivo degli omega 3 nei confronti del tumore prostatico:
– una meta-analisi del 2010 indica una riduzione del 63% nelle morti per tumore prostatico nei soggetti che consumano la quantità maggiore di pesce (1)
– uno studio del 2004 su 47.866 uomini indica una tendenza ad un ridotto rischio di tumore prostatico con valori crescenti di EPA e DHA (omega-3) (2)
– uno studio di Harvard del 2007 su 14.916 uomini indica una minore incidenza di tumore prostatico nei soggetti con livelli più elevati di omega-3 (3)
– uno studio di Harvard del 2013 su 293.464 uomini indica che una maggiore assunzione di omega 3 è associata con una riduzione significativa dei casi fatali di tumore prostatico (4)
– uno studio di Harvard del 2012 su 525 uomini indica una riduzione del 40% delle morti di tumore prostatico nei maschi con il più elevato introito di olio di pesce (5)
– uno studio del 2011 indica che un valore elevato di omega 6 rispetto agli omega 3 é associato ad un aumento significativo del rischio di tumore prostatico di alto grado (6)
